DIY pill bottle lamp
I loved the IKEA giant matchstick lamp, but I wasn’t willing to pay 3x the retail price to the Facebook marketplace scalpers!
So I set out to design my own oversized lamp and took inspiration from my dear friend, the pill bottle.
This is a pretty easy project! If you know someone with a 3D printer, the lid is a simple print, and you don’t have to custom brand the top (although matching the Kaiser branding was my favorite part lol.)
I made resin pills for the lamp with a soap mold, but I don’t love them. They look like…soap. So my next update to the lamp will be using a capsule shaped eclair mold, which I’m hoping will read more pill and less soap.
The instructions for this project are dead simple!
Print the lid, screw the lamp base into the lid, put the lid on, the end! The rest of the customization is up to you.
If you’re a Cricut person you can put your logo on the lid, and if you love working with resin, which I DO NOT, you can make some very cool custom pills!

If you make one, please share it with me. I’d love to see what you create!
